babydegu	Hey guys, please read this! Its VERY important!!!! On 8th January 07 I will be flying to South Africa to volunteer with Conservation Africa. For the first four weeks I will be working at Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation centre. Moholoholo contributes to the conservation of endangered species and the rehabilition of injured and poisoned species. The centre look after various permanent residents that are unable to go back into the wild ( for example the centre look after 3 ex Egyption circus lions that were badly treated & are now unable to go back into the wild.) They also have a breeding progamme to repopulate endangered species. The centre hand rear orphan animals and rehabilitate them back into the wild. Looking after the animals costs money. Money that they rely on by volunteers like myself. After spending 4 weeks at Moholoholo I will then be volunteering at Nholwasi community project. Nholwasi is a working community trying to survive the harsh Africa of today. Working in Nholwasi involves teaching African children simple things like purifying water and helping to improve their way of life. The fees for the 8 week program, which include flights,food,lodging and in-country transportation totals to £3,800 (a high percentage of the money will goto the rehab centre and also to the village I will be working at). I have to raise this money by November. I have already raised just over £1,000. I still have a lot to get!! I am planning to do a sponsored walk on Sunday 8th October. I can't decide where to do it from. Bournemouth town centre to where?? I'm also hopefully going to be wearing a big animal costume and my friends will be dressed up too!! Also planning to do a carboot next saturday!! At the bishop of winchester school. stevierar King of bh101	Eeeee, that sounds so awesome! You're doing something that I really believe in, and that I know quite a few people here do too! Lian Super Moderator	ooo i will go to the carboot but i dont know where abouts it is :s ...maybe you could walk to hengustbury head, I dont think it's THAT far if you walk along the seafront, that might be a good place to walk to? I would sponsor you something. It sound like such a good idea. Good going :)

venus_zoso	yeh thats an awesome idea, poor lil animals. I think itll be good for u to walk from the prom at Hengistbury to Poole, a big lion walking down the beach! lovely :) hope u get the money u need xx
