In my ever growing quest to add more and more information to bh101 - I created bh101's shopping directory. As with everything on the interweb; there are other sites listing shops in Bournemouth. However: if you have ever used one, you will understand why I decided to make a better one (hint: they're not very good). One of my main aims for this part of the site is ease of finding the shop you want. That's why there is (at present) four ways to navigate and search the database, and lots of filtering once you've got the results. Next up is making the listings useful. Names, addresses, and telephone numbers is alright; but bh101 adds hand-written descriptions, user-reviews, ratings, buses to the shops, nearby shops, and more! And finally - ideas like the 'products search' which exploit the database to the fullest potential. And more ideas are planned - text and wap access, job vacancies and more! Hooray!
