Trains
The two main stations are Bournemouth and Poole. The majority of trains stop at Bournemouth. The main service is run by South West Trains to London Waterloo, and runs through Southampton and then up to London. Virgin also run services that run up the country stopping at places like Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, and Edinburgh.

There are two stations between Bournemouth and Poole: Branksome and Parkstone.

And leaving Bournemouth towards Southampton, you travel through Pokesdown, Christchurch, New Milton, Brockenhurst, Ashurst (New Forest), Totton, and Southampton Central.

There are usually two services to London Waterloo an hour from Bournemouth (they come via Poole). Alternating between one that visits all stations mentioned above, and one that only stops at Brockenhurst and Southampton Central (this is a much faster train!). The Virgin service is usually every hour, and again, stops at just Brockenhurst and Southampton Central. Travelling the opposing way from Bournemouth, there are usually two services an hour to Poole. Sometimes carrying on to Weymouth.

For traintimes, fares, and to buy tickets online (you can also buy tickets from most stations - but some of the smaller ones only have their ticket office open for a few hours, or are unmanned!) go to TheTrainLine.com.

To see live departure boards for our local stations, click the station name below. The departure boards only show trains for a few hours ahead, if you want to see times past this, I recommend you use TheTrainLine.com.
